1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program

Thanks to all who attended the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Kick-off event on March 21st! This was just the beginning of the 1000 Books program.

Parents can sign their kids up for the 1000 Books program at the Library at any time. They will receive a canvas book bag, a Badge Book to track progress, FAQs, and a few books to get started. There are incentives available at the library after every 100 books are achieved on the way to 1000 books as well as a book bag and completion certificate at 1000.

1000 Books before Kindergarten Milestones

100 books – Pick a sticker
200 books – Pick a temporary tattoo (or a sticker if opting out of tattoo)
300 books – Pick from the prize bin
400 books – Sunglasses
500 books – Lunch box
600 books – Free book and “1000 Books before Kindergarten” bookmark
700 books – Pick from the prize bin
800 books – Pencil
900 books – Eraser
1000 books – Backpack and free book
